Tuesday, November 30th

Dear Dad,

Today your brain pressure numbers have stayed consistently positive. They are still keeping a close watch on your kidneys. They still aren't performing how they should. The doctors had talked about putting another tube in the other side of your lungs to help drain the fluid. They ended up not doing it, so we take that as a positive sign that they aren't getting worse. Today we got a letter from Elder Brown. He says that he hasn't prayed so hard in his life. He expressed his love and some kind thoughts for each member of our family. This is very hard on him, but he continues to work hard on his mission. He says this is a huge test of his faith and desire to preach the gospel, and that he hates to fail tests, so he will continue to "stick to the task". He is where he knows he should be. We love hearing his comforting words to us. We have a constant prayer in our heart for your recovery.

We love you,

Us

  1. I so admire the faithful service Elder Parker Brown is doing at this time. I know how very, very hard this has to be on him. I know he wants to be here to give his love and support to his family, but he is following thru on his promises and his duties; and sending his love from afar. May Heavenly Father bless him with extra encouragement and comfort. I know you are proud of him...we all are. Stay strong and your faith will sustain you. Love Janette

We were moved by Parker's commitment and prayers in your behalf and we are so grateful he is the strong Elder we have always known he is. Have a good strong restful night and may tomorrow be even better. We love you Dave.
