Wednesday, December 1st

Dear Dad,

Tonight you peacefully returned home to your loving Father in Heaven. While we can't put into words the sorrow that is in our hearts at this time, we can't help but think of the wonderful reunion you are having with loved ones. We are so very grateful to call you Dad. We are blessed with the knowledge that we are an Eternal family. Thank you for your loving example. It will stick with each one of us for the rest of our lives. We are grateful for all the sweet words, acts of kindness and love that is being shown to our family. It's all because of the impact you made of everyones life. We have truly been blessed with the most amazing father that anyone could ask for. We love you.

"And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." D&C 84:88

With all the love in our hearts,

Us

  9. This was sent to David's many friends and colleagues within in the Spa Industry.

    Dear Industry Friends-
Last night we lost a GREAT person, friend and colleague.
David passed on as a result of traumatic head injuries he sustained in late November after slipping on the ice while coaching a hockey game.
We're all saddened by this lose. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and everyone at HWP.
Please pass this on to whoever had the pleasure of working with David.
Please do not respond to this email; more to follow.
    Sadly,
    Warren

  15. I am shocked to hear of your dad's passing. I went through jr. high and high school with Dave. We were cheerleaders, and Madrigals, and good friends. We spent many happy hours together a long time ago, and I still remember him with a lot of love and fondness. I send my love and best wishes to you, his family. Thank you so much for this blog. He leaves a wonderful legacy. Sincerely, Wendy Petrovich-Musig

  17. I keep thinking this isn't real. Dave has been so many things to so many people in his life. I selfishly asked HF to take someone else instead. I was looking through all the Boy Scout photos we have of him on campouts and court of honors. He and I spent some long nights in a tent together. I'm glad to have shared some funny memories with him. What a great neighbor and example to us all. The Oliver family will always be here for you.

  18. My wish for all of those that knew and were touched by David

I hope that you have the same chance in your life that I have had mine - I could not have picked a better friend and partner if I made the mold myself.

We were opposites in so many ways - but for over a quarter century we built this tent called "HWP" - this was and will continue to be the fabric our relationship- he touched every part of my life and my family along with those who played this game we call the "Great Game of Business"

I loved and will continue to love David and know that he is still in the game- he has just taken on a new role on the board.

Art Kessinger- friend and tent building partner of David Brown

  19. Dear Michelle and Family,

We can not even begin to tell you how sorry we are to hear about the events
of the past weeks.Even more so, as it is only a few weeks ago that Dave and
Art invited us to some lovely diners with their close business friends, during
    our stay in Las Vegas.
We also still have some fond memories of our visit to SLC a few years ago ,
when Dave and you were so nice to show us your city and church.
If it was not for the fact that we live so far away,we would have wanted to
be there to pay our respect at Dave's funeral.
We wish you and your family all the strength possible on this very sad day.
That God may help you and your children in the future.

    All our love
    Jan and Cooky Vansoest
