We know Dave's passing came as a great shock for everyone, since just a day earlier he had shown good progress. So we wanted to inform you of what had happened. On the morning of December 1st, The doctors caring for Dave wanted to do another CAT scan because his brain pressure numbers were looking suspicious. The CAT scan showed that he had suffered a stroke and that the damage was devastating. They believe that it must have happened a couple of days prior since it was showing up on the scan. Michelle was informed at that point that Dave was brain dead. Dave's kidneys and liver were already starting to fail. The only thing keeping him alive was his life support. Dave was surrounded by his family and friends when he decided it was his time to return to his Heavenly Father.

This is not the way we thought things would turn out but we are so grateful you were at peace when you returned back to your Heaven Father. The emptiness we feel David is devasting but we want your know we will be strong and stick to our task of helping to offer peace and support to your family. You have been a strength to Mom and I and we know that is what you want us to do.
